Women In Technology Uganda(WITU) is a non-profit that focuses on empowering and helping girls and women from underserved communities by offering them education in STEM related fields by providing better tools, resources and opportunities that allow them to thrive in the industry and in the world. The WITU also helps with personal development, mentoring, life skills, health, business skills, job linkages, and smart loans to further encourage women to explore their full potential.

Anita Borg was a computer scientist in the 1980's who founded a community for women in computing. Since its inception, it's grown and become one of the leading organisations for women in tech. The organisation has a global reach and works with Fortune 500 companies and academic institutions. This organisation not only works towards increasing the influence of women in the tech industry but also promotes the creation of technology. That will have a positive impact on women all around the world.
